It’s hard to believe that just a week or so ago I was reading about the Katyn Massacre, and thinking, I’m so glad things like that don’t happen anymore.

And then all of a sudden this happens, also just when Ari, Edwin and I were about to pay Krakow and Auschwitz and visit.

This is such a tragic coincidence. I hope Poland will get through this fine, whether or not we eventually go there.

But I’m just curious – is it standard procedure to have all the top people of a country fly in the same plane when they have to be somewhere together? It doesn’t make sense to me.
